ISBR Organizes Blood Donation Camp in Association with Narayana Health City

ISBR College, Bengaluru, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp on 17th April 2026 in association with Narayana Health City, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility and community welfare. The camp was conducted at the UG Campus and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff.

Promoting a Life-Saving Cause

Blood donation remains one of the most valuable contributions an individual can make to society. With healthcare institutions continuously requiring blood for surgeries, emergency treatments, and critical patient care, initiatives such as this play a crucial role in supporting public health.

The primary objectives of the camp were:

  • To contribute to the growing demand for safe blood supplies.
  • To create awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation.
  • To encourage regular blood donation among students and staff.
  • To support hospitals in maintaining an adequate blood inventory.

Collaboration with Narayana Health City

The blood collection team from Narayana Health City arrived early to set up the donation facility at the ISBR College Canopy Area. The camp officially commenced at 9:30 AM and followed all necessary medical protocols to ensure donor safety and comfort.

Before donation, each participant underwent:

  • Weight assessment
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • Blood group identification
  • Hemoglobin testing
  • Infection screening

These measures ensured that all donations were conducted safely and responsibly.

Outstanding Participation

The response from the ISBR community was remarkable. Students, faculty members, and support staff came forward voluntarily to support the initiative.

A total of 58 units of blood were successfully collected during the camp, making the event a significant contribution to healthcare needs in the region.

Following the donation process, all donors were provided with:
