ISBR College, Electronic City, Bengaluru, observed Gandhi Jayanti 2025 on 3rd October 2025 in a meaningful ceremony held at the ISBR Seminar Hall. The event brought together faculty and students to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, celebrating his timeless ideals of truth, non-violence, simplicity, and selfless service.
About the Event
The program, anchored by Ms. Vidya Vincent, commenced with a warm welcome to all teachers and students. The event’s purpose was to honor Gandhian values and connect his teachings to contemporary global issues such as human rights, sustainability, and non-violence, aligning with the International Day of Non-Violence observed globally on October 2nd.





Objectives
The celebration aimed to:
- Connect Gandhian philosophy with modern-day challenges like social justice and environmental sustainability.
- Inspire students to uphold ethics, humility, and courage in their personal and professional lives.
- Emphasize Sarvodaya — the upliftment of all through selfless service and dignity of labour.
Highlights of the Program
The event featured a series of thought-provoking speeches by ISBR faculty, each shedding light on different facets of Gandhian thought:
- Dr. Balavant Kalaskar, Principal of ISBR Law College, spoke on the importance of Gandhian principles for today’s youth.
- Ms. Ankitha Bhattacharjee and Ms. Naureen reflected on Gandhi’s role in India’s independence and his moral leadership.
- Ms. Nagini, from the Kannada Department, delivered an inspiring Kannada speech that filled the audience with patriotic pride.
- Dr. Madhuri, Mr. Mahesh (HOD, Management), and Dr. Sreekanta (Principal, Evening College) emphasized Gandhi’s message of unity, tolerance, and moral courage.
- Dr. Tapan Nayak, Principal (UG Courses), concluded with a call for youth responsibility and social upliftment.
The event ended with a floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and a group photograph, followed by a vote of thanks by Ms. Vidya Vincent.
