Brief Profile of the Resource Person
Mr. Ravi Tennety has over 27 years of work experience at decision-making levels with the top organization in India. He has headed Strategy, Operations and worked with large cross- functional teams. His past work experience includes Chief Operating Officer- Tata Teleservices, GM and Enterprise Head, Voice and Data- Bharati Airtel, and Director-South-Sprint RPG. During his tenure, he had client relationships at Board/CXO/CXO-1/Director levels. One of the few professionals with top-level exposure to B2B, B2C and B2G. He has participated in the Management Development Program of the University of Michigan and Ross, IIM-Ahmedabad, and Harvard Business School.

Abstract/Snapshot:
The event Leadership Development Program on “Leadership in Crisis” was organized by The Department of HRM and General Management – ISBR Business School, Bangalore, conducted on the Zoom Webinar Platform. Participants – Corporate Employees and Faculty Members were the participants of this Leadership Development Programme. The LDP laid emphasis on the process of responding to an organization’s issues and preventing them in the future is known as crisis leadership. Most crisis managers prioritize their employees’ and customers’ emotional needs by giving emotional assistance. Here the participants learnt about how a leader should lead in a time of crisis, also learnt about the difference between crisis leadership vs crisis management.

Learnings from the event:
From this Interaction, the participants learnt about the most effective tips and tricks to build resilience in times of crisis:
 True Leader should always lead from the front
 The team must be shown empathy by the leader
 Make a backup plan to keep the ship from sinking
 Track and take control of the team’s workflow
 A leader must be aware of the climate around them
 Leaders must stay alert by establishing communication channels
 A leader should never panic no matter what so ever is the situation
