As part of the orientation programme for the newly inducted PGDM Batch 2026–28, ISBR Business School organized an engaging and interactive Alumni Unplugged session on July 25, 2026.
Designed to foster connections and ease the transition into management education, the session brought incoming students face-to-face with distinguished alumni: Ms. Munmun Hazarika, Customer Success Manager at Appnext, and Mr. Rahul Mukherjee, Regional Head – Wealth at ICICI Direct (PGDM Batch 2014–16).
Key Highlights from the Session
Unlike conventional academic talks, the event embraced an informal, conversation-led format focused on real-world insights, peer interaction, and career preparation.
1. Navigating Life at ISBR and Corporate Growth
Both speakers candidly reflected on their personal journeys as ISBR students, discussing the memorable moments, challenges, and key choices that shaped their careers. They emphasized three essential pillars for long-term career success:
- Adaptability: Navigating evolving business landscapes with flexibility.
- Continuous Learning: Keeping skills updated long after graduation.
- Meaningful Relationships: Building genuine, supportive networks within and outside campus.
2. Ice-Breaking Activities and Team Building
To break the ice and help the new batch bond, the speakers facilitated a series of fun, interactive activities. These exercises encouraged students to:
- Collaborate and practice teamwork early in their academic journey.
- Build confidence when speaking and presenting among peers.
- Form lasting friendships across the PGDM cohort.
3. Open Q&A and Practical Guidance
The open format allowed students to actively ask questions and gain realistic perspectives on campus life, academic expectations, and career planning directly from alumni who once stood in their shoes.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Managers
The interactive session ended on an energetic note, leaving the incoming PGDM cohort motivated, comfortable, and excited to begin their journey at ISBR Business School. Events like Alumni Unplugged reinforce ISBR’s strong community culture and the ongoing commitment of its alumni network to mentor future business leaders.
