ISBR College, in association with SS Changemakers Foundation, organized an inspiring seminar titled “GENZ for Impact – Volunteering is Life” on 24th April 2026 at the ISBR Seminar Hall. The event aimed to encourage students to embrace social responsibility and understand the transformative power of volunteering in creating positive societal change.

The seminar was designed to motivate Generation Z students to view volunteering not merely as an occasional activity but as a way of life. The initiative aligned with the spirit of Good Deeds Day, a global movement that promotes acts of kindness and community service for the betterment of society and the environment.
Event Highlights


The program commenced with an energetic Flash Mob performance by the college team, welcoming guests and setting a vibrant tone for the event. Students, faculty members, principals from the ISBR Group of Institutions, and representatives from SS Changemakers Foundation gathered in the seminar hall for the main session.
The event was anchored by Mr. Mahesh S, Academic Coordinator for UG Courses at ISBR College. The gathering was formally welcomed, followed by a Presidential Address by Dr. Tapan Nayak, Director of UG Campus, ISBR Group of Institutions.
Guest Address by Sri. Chotta Vipin



The chief attraction of the seminar was Sri. Chotta Vipin, renowned as the Shortest Film Director and a record holder in the Arabian Book of World Records. During his address, he shared his inspiring life journey, speaking about the challenges he faced due to his short stature and the societal barriers he overcame through determination and resilience.
His message highlighted:
- The importance of self-belief and perseverance.
- Turning challenges into opportunities for growth.
- Building a strong personality through determination and hard work.
The speech was delivered in Malayalam and translated into English for the audience, ensuring that students could fully benefit from his motivational story.
Understanding the Impact of Volunteering


An interactive session led by Mr. Paul from SS Changemakers Foundation introduced students to the organization’s humanitarian initiatives. The session showcased how the NGO supports underprivileged communities and disaster-affected regions through relief efforts, essential supplies, and rehabilitation activities.
A video presentation highlighted the Foundation’s response to the Wayanad landslide crisis, demonstrating how volunteer-driven initiatives can make a meaningful difference during times of need. Students actively participated in discussions and a question-and-answer session, gaining valuable insights into social service and community leadership.
