ISBR E-Cell Celebrates World Creativity and Innovation Day 2025

In a vibrant celebration of World Creativity and Innovation Day 2025, ISBR Business School’s Entrepreneurial Cell reaffirmed its commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students. The event perfectly aligned with this year’s United Nations theme, “Step Out and Innovate”, inspiring individuals and organizations to adopt creative problem-solving approaches and drive transformative ideas to address global challenges.

About ISBR E-Cell

The E-Cell at ISBR serves as a dynamic incubation centre, supporting students from the stage of ideation to prototype development, and finally to market launch. Emerging from the prestigious E-Cell challenge at IIT Powai, ISBR’s E-Cell has rapidly evolved into a launchpad for aspiring entrepreneurs, enabling students to turn their innovative concepts into scalable solutions.

Highlights of the Celebration

The event featured distinguished speakers who shared their deep insights on innovation, entrepreneurship, and the current ecosystem’s readiness to support young visionaries.

  • Mr. K. Natarajan, promoter of THINK TANK IMC (an Innovative Solutions start-up), emphasized that creativity is the catalyst for innovation, which subsequently fuels entrepreneurial ventures. His inspiring talk shed light on the critical role of creativity in building a resilient entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Dr. Lakshmi Jagannathan, CEO, Innovation Centre, IIIT Bangalore, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A passionate advocate for youth-driven innovation, Dr. Lakshmi highlighted the multitude of opportunities available today — from incubation facilities to national hackathons — that empower students to dream big, gain practical experience, and even generate initial funding for their start-ups. Her session infused energy and ambition among the audience, reflecting the real potential of today’s vibrant startup ecosystem.

The students actively participated in a live Innovation Challenge titled “Nudging Commuter Behaviour for the Proposed Metro at Electronics City”, providing them with hands-on experience in addressing a real-world mobility challenge through innovative thinking.

Leadership Acknowledgement

Dr. Rajagopalan, Director, ISBR Business School, felicitated Dr. Lakshmi Jagannathan and extended gratitude for her invaluable contributions. His address reiterated ISBR’s vision of empowering students to become job creators rather than job seekers, aligning with India’s national mission of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Where Creativity Meets Opportunity: Student Success Stories

The event was a resounding success, fostering a vibrant culture of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit within the ISBR community. It provided a strong foundation for students to think outside the box, leverage incubation ecosystems, and explore the vast horizon of start-up opportunities. By celebrating the World Creativity and Innovation Day, ISBR Business School reaffirms its commitment to nurturing the next generation of innovative leaders and changemakers, preparing them for impactful contributions to society and the economy.
