AI-ready classrooms in higher education are rapidly redefining how institutions prepare scholars, researchers, and future leaders for a technology-driven economy. As artificial intelligence reshapes pedagogy, research, and academic integrity, institutions must move beyond surface-level digitisation toward meaningful, ethical, and research-led integration. In this context, ISBR Business School’s participation at EDex Awards 2025 reflects its commitment to advancing AI-enabled education, technology-enabled learning, and the future of business education.
AI-Ready Classrooms in Higher Education: ISBR at EDex Awards 2025
ISBR Business School strengthened its thought leadership presence in the higher education ecosystem through the participation of Dr. M. R. Jhansi Rani, Director – Research Centre and Editor-in-Chief, ISBR Management Journal, as a panelist at the EDex Awards 2025 held at Vivanta by Taj, Bengaluru, on 13 December 2025.
From Traditional to Tech-Enabled Learning Environments
The panel, titled “From Traditional to Tech-Enabled: Building AI-Ready Classrooms,” went beyond celebratory rhetoric and critically examined whether institutions are genuinely redesigning learning environments or merely digitising conventional practices.
Dr. Jhansi Rani foregrounded the urgent need to shift from tool-centric adoption of technology to pedagogy-driven integration, where AI meaningfully augments inquiry, critical thinking and research capabilities of learners, especially FPM and PhD scholars.

Non-Negotiables for AI-Enabled Education
Drawing on ISBR’s experience, highlighted three non-negotiables for AI-ready classrooms in higher education:
🔹Ethical Governance and Responsible AI Use
Ethical governance frameworks and rational application of AI are essential to prevent misuse, bias amplification, and erosion of academic values.
🔹Faculty Upskilling as a Scholarly Imperative
Faculty up-skilling must be viewed as a continuous scholarly obligation, ensuring educators remain competent in AI-enabled pedagogy and research methods.
🔹Research-Centric and Data-Literate Curriculum
Research-centric curricula should embed data literacy and AI fluency across disciplines, strengthening interdisciplinary learning and research outcomes.
She also cautioned that uncritical dependence on AI risks amplifying bias, deskilling academic work, and diluting intellectual originality unless guided by robust academic integrity policies.
AI-Ready Classrooms and the Future of Business Education
The discussion underscored that AI-enabled education is not an end in itself, but a means to nurture reflective practitioners, responsible managers, and contextually sensitive researchers.
ISBR at EDex Awards 2025 reaffirmed its commitment to shaping this discourse by aligning classroom practice, research output, and institutional strategy with the evolving demands of a technology-mediated, knowledge-driven economy.
