ISBR Law College 2024 Activities: A Transformative Journey Through Legal Education
At ISBR Law College, 2024 was a landmark year filled with intellectually enriching, socially engaging, and globally relevant activities. From workshops on emerging legal trends to institutional collaborations and immersive learning experiences, students and faculty actively participated in a wide range of transformative events.
January: Kickstarting Global Collaborations and Legal Exposure
The year began with a strategic introductory meeting between Haaga Helia University, Finland, and ISBR College on January 10th, focusing on collaborative opportunities, particularly for the BBA Aviation program. This was followed by an educational visit to National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, providing students an opportunity to engage with Dr. Nigam, the Registrar.
On January 19th and 20th, ISBR Law students and faculty undertook a rare and impactful visit to Bangalore Central Prison, fostering awareness of the criminal justice system beyond textbooks. Participation in the KSLU Principal Meeting on January 22nd emphasized academic alignment and institutional development.
February: Financial Literacy and Automation Skills
ISBR hosted a series of finance and technology-driven sessions including a Debt Financing workshop by CAC Investment Banking and ELCITA on January 24th. Experts like Ms. Chandralekha Chatterjee and Mr. Nikhil Agrawal brought real-world insight to students.
On February 15th, Dr. Tapan Nayak represented ISBR at the Ui Path Automation Skills Program, a collaboration with ICT Academy, NASSCOM, and London Stock Exchange, underlining the institution’s push towards legal-tech integration. Additionally, ISBR took part in an MSME-focused finance event organized by ELCITA on February 27th, decoding RBI’s incentives for startups and entrepreneurs.
Convocation 2024: Celebrating Academic Achievement
Held on February 24th, the Annual Convocation Ceremony celebrated the achievements of 250+ graduates. The prestigious event was graced by dignitaries from National Law School, Infosys, Cognizant, and the ISBR leadership. Thirteen students received ranks and medals, while four faculty members were honored for their outstanding contributions.
March: Civic Engagement and Gender Equity
In alignment with the “Mera Pahla Vote Desh ke Liye” campaign initiated by the Ministry of Education, ISBR participated in sessions encouraging youth civic engagement. Furthermore, International Women’s Day on March 11th saw participation and recognition of women in academia and law.
A brainstorming session on skill-based training and internships for aviation and management students was conducted by IQAC and BOS, emphasizing ISBR’s student-centric approach to industry-readiness.
