On 14th<\/sup> October, 2014, students of ISBR visited Sunikh Components Pvt. Ltd. situated in Phase-2, Electronics City.<\/p>\n

It is an ISO 9001:2008 certified Company, manufacturing Press Tools, Moulds, Jigs, Fixtures, Pressed\/Stamped Components & Sub Assemblies.<\/p>\n

Mr. Salim E. A., Managing Director, accompanied the students. He explained the methodology adopted by the company to manufacture moulds, mainly metals. The focus area of the company is Sheet Metal Stamping. The company adopts modern manufacturing process like Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) to obtain the desired shape.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are different types of machines used to manufacture different components like Conventional machines, CNC machines, Press machines etc. The warehouse has different sections like Metrology, Metal Shop, Reaming Area and Press Shop. The Press shop consists of Press machines ranging from 10 tonnes-600tonnes. Various safety measures are also taken for the employees.<\/p>\n

It was a learning experience as the students got an exposure to the manufacturing unit, thereby understanding and getting an idea about the procedures, technology, machines used in manufacturing products.<\/p>\n
