This time we had Mr. Dipan Sahu who conducted an orientation session on IIC 4.0 and also, discussed its features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objectives of The Session –<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Introduction to new features of IIC 4.0 Portal and how to use it<\/li>
  2. Glance through various programs and schemes for IIC Institutions<\/li>
  3. Incentives and Measurement of performance IIC Institutions effort<\/li>
  4. IIC registration and participation guidelines<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    About the event \u2013
    The session was started by Mr. Dipan Sahu, Ministry of Education, Innovation Council. He welcomed all the IIC institutions, HoDs, faculties, and students. He shared the achievements of the Institution\u2019s Innovation Council and all the institutions under it. He talked about the new features that have been added in IIC 4.0. He was happy to share that the IIC network has been spread in almost all the corners of the country. He shared the position of India in Global Innovation Index, where, India stood at 46th position in the year 2021. The previous year, India was at the 48th position. He shared a list of programs that are running under the Ministry of Education, Innovation Cell. The programs are \u2013
    \uf0b7 Institution\u2019s Innovation Council
    \uf0b7 Yukti 2.0 Innovation Repository
    \uf0b7 Toycathon 2021
    \uf0b7 Drug Discovery Hackathon
    He shared the integration of policy programs of National Innovation and Startup Policy, Institution\u2019s Innovation Council, and Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievement. The objective of NISP is where each and every institute will think in a vision-oriented approach and they will consider the short term, mid-term, and long-term goals into account and they will engage in the deployment of resources. ARIIA captures the data pertaining to various activities,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    teaching and learning, innovation, startups, technology transfer, and budget- related innovation. The Ministry of Education, Innovation Cell also provides<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    funding support and handholding support to the student innovations. He also shared the FAQs registration in IIC 4.0. Some of the questions were \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Who should initiate the registration?<\/li>
    2. Who will lead the IIC at the institute once it is registered?<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      He shared the guided activities of IIC for 2021-22 which states that 50% weightage should be given to IIC calendar Driven Activities, 30% weightage for self-driven activities, 10% weightage for MIC driven activities, and another 10% for celebration day activities. He also talked about the classifications of IIC Institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \uf0b7 Integration of Innovation Ambassador Portal with IIC Institute Portal
      \uf0b7 Mentor-Mentee prescribed activity and progress monitoring
      \uf0b7 IIC Institutions to link with Atal Tinkering Labs in School
      \uf0b7 E-Learning repository Build-up and resource utilization<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      He communicated all the registration processes for institutions to register in IIC 4.0 to the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
