Visiting Art of Living Ashram was indeed a treat to the eye and a great learning for the students of PGDM 2017-19 on 17 July 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sri Sri Ravishankar Ashram is located at Kanakapura Road, Bangalore with the campus engulfed in greenery, resembling a small ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Ishwar,our guide,directed thestudentstoalarge hall and briefed the students about the functionality, vision, and mission of the organization and how a mind can be managed with scientifically proven breathing methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Students were\u00a0accompanied\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 to the majestic Vishalakshi Mantap(named\u00a0after\u00a0Guru\u00a0Sri\u00a0Ravi\u00a0Shankar\u00a0Ji’S mother) which is nothing less than an architectural Marvel, with intricate details, standing 108 ft. tall uprising of 3 floors. It resembI’es a blossomed lotus With over 1008 petals. Students boarded the bus that drove past Radha Kunjgarden,Panchakarma and arrivedattheGurukul.It hddD mystical feeling of being amidst the ancient Indian <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vedic ages. The entrance of Gurukul had a temple in whichthreeods(PanchmukhiGanesh,MahaVishnuand Mahalaxmi) idols were elegantly decorated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They proceeded further and met a techie Mr. Binay, who worked with the IT industry for a decade and yet chosetopreachtheancientwaysofliving.Hehighlighted the issues with our generation and at the same time explained to us how Vedic and ancient techniques are superior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visit to efficiently managed Bio Gas Plant and water treatment plant was a great learning experience for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ThenwastheshowstopperAnnapur\u0144amegakitchen (also featured on National Geographic), a gigantic kitchen that serves an average of 5000 meals each day. During Navaratri the demand spikes to 1 lakh meals. In reality, only 12 staff members run the system supported by the mass number of volunteers. Managing different tasks at the ashram was a challenge. The visit exposed the students to learn how things are organized and managed at ease. The transformation from barren land to greenery all around required a lot of passion, hard work, and a driving force to achieve such a great fest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
