The future of higher education is no longer defined by how much students know. It is increasingly defined by what they can do with that knowledge.

This powerful message resonated throughout Session III \u2013 ‘Quality Education: Future Skills & Job-Ready Workforce’ at the FKCCI Global CSR & Sustainability Summit 2026 in Bengaluru. The panel brought together leaders from academia, industry and the CSR ecosystem to deliberate on how India can transform education into employability in the age of Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving Beyond Degrees to Capabilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Manish Kothari challenged the traditional perception of management education, stating that the issue is not whether the two-year MBA is relevant, but whether institutions are still delivering programmes designed for yesterday\u2019s economy. In an era where knowledge is universally accessible, competitive advantage lies in problem-solving, critical thinking, adaptability and the ability to create value.

He emphasised: \u201cWe must stop preparing students for their first job. We must start preparing them for their next forty years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The L.E.A.D. Framework<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Kothari introduced ISBR\u2019s L.E.A.D. Framework:

He observed that employers increasingly recruit demonstrated capability rather than academic credentials alone. Competencies, communication, ethical judgement and responsible AI usage have become the defining characteristics of future-ready graduates.

\u201cDegrees may open doors, but competencies keep those doors open.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
