At <a href=\"http:\/\/www.isbr.in\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>ISBR Busine<\/strong>s<strong>s School<\/strong><\/a>, such initiatives are integral to the institution\u2019s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through structured, experiential engagement aligned with global development priorities, ISBR enables students to translate SDG frameworks into meaningful social impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of ISBR\u2019s SDG-focused learning and outreach initiatives, students actively participated in inclusive sports programs in collaboration with Divyang Academy and the Ability Sports League (ASL). This engagement exemplified how management education can contribute to health, equity, accessibility, and partnerships for sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ISBR\u2019s Experiential Learning Approach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ISBR integrates the SDGs into academic and co-curricular learning to cultivate socially responsible and globally aware management professionals. Through hands-on exposure to community-based initiatives, students engage with real-world challenges related to inclusion, health, education, and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ISBR is committed to the following UN SDGs :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>SDG 3 \u2013 Good Health and Well-being<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SDG 4 \u2013 Quality Education<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SDG 5 \u2013 Gender Equality<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SDG 10 \u2013 Reduced Inequalities<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SDG 17 \u2013 Partnerships for the Goals<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adaptive Sports Engagement at Divyang Academy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Through Divyang Academy, ISBR students interacted with differently abled sportspersons and gained exposure to adaptive sports ecosystems. Students were introduced to the academy\u2019s founder, <strong>Mr. Shiva Prasad<\/strong>, whose leadership and journey reflect resilience, inclusion, and excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Learning the Fundamentals of Adaptive Sports<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students received hands-on training in wheelchair sports, including assembling and dismantling sports wheelchairs\u2014an essential operational skill when supporting wheelchair athletes. This session reinforced the importance of accessibility, safety, and inclusive design in sports infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wheelchair Cricket Practice Sessions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the technical orientation, students assisted athletes during batting and fielding practice sessions. The athletes\u2019 discipline, confidence, and technical proficiency highlighted a powerful message: ability is shaped by opportunity and mindset, not physical limitations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Corporate Outreach and SDG Partnerships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Strengthening cross-sector collaboration under <strong>SDG 17<\/strong>, ISBR students facilitated an inclusive sports outreach session for employees of <strong>Cognizant<\/strong>. The program aimed to promote team bonding, awareness, and preparedness for volunteering in inclusive sporting events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants were introduced to the Ability Sports League, a pan-India wheelchair cricket tournament that brings together differently abled athletes from across the country. Through a series of inclusive, team-based activities, the session fostered empathy, participation, and shared responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Organising the Ability Sports League (ASL)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ISBR students played an active role in organising the ASL tournament, supporting logistics, food distribution, athlete assistance, and on-field coordination. While operational in nature, these responsibilities were critical to the successful execution of a national-level inclusive sports event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The experience provided students with real-world exposure to large-scale event management, teamwork under pressure, and leadership in inclusive environments\u2014key competencies aligned with ISBR\u2019s outcome-driven learning philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Celebrating Inclusion, Resilience, and Excellence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The final match between Bangalore and Lucknow showcased high competitive spirit and resilience. Despite challenging weather conditions, both teams demonstrated exceptional determination.
