30th March 2013, a day special in ISBR calendar, because of the presence of eminent guests who enlightened us on CAREER GUIDANCE.

The program was enriching with The Plethora of Knowledge and Personnel on Offer.

The first speaker was Mr. Suresh Thiagarajan – a professional with 26 years of experience in quality control and more than 12 years of experience in The IT industry.

Mr.Thiagarajan Gave an overview of the rising IT industry and its diverse Scope for MBA Students with over 200 MBA’s working in More Than 500 top fortune companies.

Next came Dr.Winston Jacob, A certified Chartered and accredited Professional consultant with a proven track record spanning forty years. Thirty three of which have been in Papua New Guinea.Basically on HRM Guidance being an advisor to the Indian Human Resource Institute.Mr. Jacob gave had a Very interesting equation to share on the relationship of human resource with Learning. He explicitly repeated that learning is diverse and never ends. His equation of learning was something like this

L=P+ (Q) q

Where L= Learning

P=program Knowledge

Q= Qualitative Questioning and Questioning.

He also marked a statement saying that “Human resource is no more human resource but lifelong learning.”

Next, the stage was taken by Mr.Dinakarmurthy Krishna an Industrial Production engineer basically a Manufacturing Specialist and also a qualified Master Spirit Life coach, results coach and business excellence assessor.Mr.krishna related the Manufacturing Industry to other fields of specializations like Finance, Marketingetc. Besides he spoke about creating World class companies and Exceptional Leaders.

Last but certainly not the least was Mr.Sanjay who spoke about the various prospects of career for MBA’s in hospitality and Healthcare.

The session ended with an open Interaction with students bombarding the guests with their queries and the panel replying aplomb.

The session was enriching, enthralling and energizing .The students left the hall with a sense of pride and knowledge knowing what they needed to do for fulfilling their career Objectives and with a clear view on employment opportunities.

To sum up it is right to say it was a knowledgeable day in the temple of knowledge ISBR. J

Holi Celebrations at ISBR

Fun, Frolic and Frivolous was how one could describe the Holi celebrations held at ISBR on 27th March 2013.The Celebrations took place with much fanfare With a Large attendance on Offer ,The Director of Our College Dr.K.S.Anandram Presided The Event and Gave us a  meaningful message of a SAFE AND MEANINGFUL holi,

The Event had Entertainment in The form of a Dance and a Song of Much Vibrance and Joy, The Dumbsharades and The Antakshari added a Competitive Spirit to the evening, The Final Splash of Colors on all and Sundry added Further Color to an Eventful Evening, This Holi was one to remember indeed!

Guest Lecture -‘Role of innovation in Management’ & ‘Management in software Engineering’

In the series of guest lectures, we had the opportunity to attend lectures by two eminent people from the corporate world.

The first lecture was given by Mr Rajarshi Mukherjee. The lecture topic was ‘Role of innovation in Management’. It covered all the innovative ideas and strategies that are going in the market. We were suggested to think creative, innovative and specially thinking ‘ out of the box’.

The second lecture was given by Mrs Pritha Chatterjee. She covered the topic ‘Management in software Engineering’. It was really an honour for our students to attend such lectures. She taught us simple corporate cultures in a very practical way. We played games, did lots of role plays and learn by fun. The session was overall interactive and interesting too. The glimpses of real corporate world and the present challenges which are going in the market were explained to us in simple ways. The lecture taught us how to overcome and how can we make a difference in a society just by
thinking ‘OUT OF THE BOX’.

Guest Lecture – Finance Specialization as Career

ISBR witnessed the visit of yet another eminent personality, Prof. Amit Kanjilal, senior faculty of finance at International Institute of Business Studies [IIBS], Bangalore.

He shared with us his pearls of wisdom and experience, enlightening the students about the importance of finance and its application in the various field including the corporate and personal (personal finance) life.

Finance is not just the blood for business and organization but is equally important for an individual to manage his investments and savings. He enriched the student with certain facts and figure to keep their knowledge updated.

Guest Lecture – Emerging Trends in HRM

As a part of the series of guest lectures happening at ISBR, we witnessed the presence of Mrs. Durba Dhyani.Mrs Durba is a certified trainer and has worked with various world known companies as board member. She talked about the emerging trend in Human Resource Management and the factors which are causing the traditional practices to change and establish new one. The session being an interactive one, ensured that the students were kept engaged and also made the session interesting.

Personality Success Blueprint

In our series of guest lectures, we had with us Mr. Beejal Parmar, founder and senior partner of True AIM Solutions, based in Bangalore, India, a pioneering personality analysis and behavior modification consulting, training and gamification companies serving entrepreneurs and organizations.

The event was emceed by Rashi Sharma and the talk was opened by Beejal’s 12 year old daughter, Shivani Parmar. She spoke on how conditioning plays an important in the growth of an individual and even sang her very own composed song ‘ counting smiles’. Kudos to her stage presence and confidence.

Then walked in Beejal and took over the session from there. The two hour engaging session was a mix of personality analysis, games, skits and interaction with the audience. He explained the ‘young managers of tomorrow’ how they could achieve success by having an insight of their personality and then plan and perform accordingly.

He explained that unlocking the gates to their personality with the seven sacred keys is going to help them a long way in achieving the targets that each of them had set for themselves. He introduced the students to PRISM Analysis and Life Plan Mastery programs and how they would benefit from it.

Here’s the quote our guest speaker Beejal lives by “the better you know yourself, the faster you will succeed, and the happier you will be.”  And that’s what he asked us all to implement in our day to day lives.



She is the epitome of grace, beauty, love, compassion, affection and more. She is a life herself. Keeping the very same thought in mind International Women’s Day is celebrated on the 8th of March. It is marked as the day where we all celebrate women’s accomplishments and advocate for gender equality.

And keeping up with tradition, we at ISBR celebrated the ‘undying’ spirit of woman and her achievements till date. The program kicked off by beautiful poem from Amrita. Then a welcome dance by Sharanpreet and Neha, followed by the words of wisdom by Director K.S. Anandram, our guest for the evening Mrs. Suja Warrior and our CTO Mayur Jain.

A power packed performance by the boys N.N Mishra and Roop enthralled the audience. CSR and the sports club had their share of activities like tug of war and a few ‘couple’ games. The emcees of the evening were Vijith and Anjan who kept the audience engaged.

And finally, we had an audio visual presentation and a talk by Bhushan on the present scenario of women today which was appreciated by one and all present. The evening was a memorable one and will be remembered by us all. And here’s penning down a few words for the girls of our institute…
